Mikayla Harris

Exercise Physiologist

Mikayla is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist at Educational Case Management, graduating from a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology with Distinction from the University of Newcastle in 2022.

Mikayla has 3 years of experience working with children who have complex disabilities and mental health from her time working as a Student Learning Support Officer within a high needs sector and mainstream high school. Mikayla also has 5 years of experience working as a strength and conditioning coach, working with children, athletes, elderly adults, and general populations. She also has experience working with Virtual Reality and innovative technologies within neurological rehabilitation.

Mikayla has a strong interest in paediatric therapy, mental health, neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, and biofeedback therapy. She is passionate about supporting individuals to take charge of their health and wellbeing, and assisting them to achieve their goals, by making their experience as fun and enjoyable as possible.

Mikayla played a variety of sports growing up, including horse riding, softball, dance, karate, and field hockey. She enjoys embracing movement outdoors and promoting play-based therapy for all ages – we are all just big kids at heart!

On the weekends you can find Mikayla cuddling with her giant dogs at home, at the beach, or out and about with friends around Newcastle.
