Mikaela graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) and is a registered member of Speech Pathology Australia.

Mikaela is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (CPSP) at Educational Case Management who is passionate about supporting clients to reach their full potential using a neurodiverse affirming approach.

Mikaela graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) in 2022 and is registered with Speech Pathology Australia.

During her time at ECM, Mikaela has strived to develop strong connections with clients and their families in order to provide individualised, client-centered care that targets their goals while also being fun and engaging. She values helping others to communicate using various modalities to not only get their needs met but to empower clients to advocate for their wants, beliefs and passions. Mikaela’s particular areas of interest include speech sounds, language development and foundational literacy skills.

She is committed to implementing evidence-based intervention and developing her clinical skills through ongoing professional development and has engaged in a range of training courses including that of Neurodiverse affirming practice, Liberator AAC devices, executive functioning and current literacy practices. In the future, Mikaela plans to attend workshops and training on SoundsWrite, Hanen programs and Myo Munchee.
