Under the guidance of board-approved supervision, Luke provides a range of psychological services to clients across the lifespan. His role includes conducting psychological assessments, developing collaborative case formulations and treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based psychological interventions.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) in 2020, Luke commenced a dual role as a provisional psychologist and rehabilitation consultant. During this time, he developed experience in psychological assessment, diagnosis, case formulation, treatment planning, risk assessment, and the delivery of evidence-based interventions across a diverse range of presentations.
As a rehabilitation consultant, Luke worked across the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), and workers compensation settings, conducting vocational and functional assessments while collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary professionals. This opportunity fostered Luke’s interest in positive psychology and Motivational Interviewing, supporting clients to overcome personal and systemic barriers, clarify their values, and build confidence as they worked towards meaningful goals.
Following the disruptions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, Luke commenced a Master of Profession Psychology, further developing his theoretical knowledge while refining his clinical style through supervised placement. Upon completing his Master’s degree, Luke joined ECM to undertake his internship as a Provisional Psychologist. His clinical approach is grounded in client-centred principles and is characterised by warmth, collaboration, and acceptance. Luke is committed to fostering authentic therapeutic relationships and recognises the central role they play in creating a safe therapeutic environment and facilitating positive treatment outcomes.
