Ken completed his Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) at Southern Cross University and is currently a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Ken started his career as a Psychologist since 2018 across the workplace rehabilitation industry (Comcare, Compulsory Third Party (CTP), Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) and iCare), NDIS and private practice. Prior to that he worked as a Psychiatric Case Manager in an acute psychiatric hospital for almost two years. Ken has also served in the military in a combat-related role for two years.
Ken prides himself as a person-centered Psychologist: demonstrating empathy, unconditional positive regard, collaboratively working with others to overcome challenges, develop goals and improve their independence and quality of life. Ken is especially interested in working with individuals living with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, somatic symptoms and related disorders, substance-related and addictive disorders.
Ken is proficient in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and incorporates virtual-reality into his sessions where appropriate.
