Who’s Emily?
Emily is a Counsellor and Behaviour Therapist at Educational Case Management, with over five years of experience supporting people through life’s big feelings and tough moments. She holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science and is currently diving deeper into her passion through a Master’s in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
With a background in Youth Mental Health at headspace and as a Mental Health Support Worker, Emily brings a warm, down-to-earth approach to her sessions, even when things feel messy. She’s passionate about helping people feel safe, connected, and truly seen, maybe even surprised by their own strength. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, low mood, trauma, or just feeling stuck, Emily meets you where you’re at (and isn’t fazed by much). Her work is person-centred, trauma-informed, and rooted in evidence-based practice, with a strong belief that laughter and honesty can go hand in hand with healing.
Emily supports a wide range of individuals, with a particular interest in working with neurodivergent clients including those with Autism, ADHD, BPD, and PTSD. She’s less about the labels, and more about understanding what makes each person tick and helping them feel more at home in their own skin.
When she’s not in session, you’ll likely find her cooking something cosy, walking her slightly-too-enthusiastic Boxer dog, or getting lost in a book. She’s also known to nerd out over neuroscience facts and is endlessly fascinated by outer space, because brains and black holes are equally mysterious.
