Batrisyia Hj Amin Rashid

Allied Health Assistant (Speech Pathologist)

Batrisyia is an Allied Health Assistant (AHA) at Educational Case Management. She is currently in her third year working towards a Bachelor of Speech Pathology at the University of Newcastle.

Batrisyia has had experience with both paediatric and adult clients through clinical placements. During Batrisyia’s university life, she volunteered for ECM which was her introduction to the company. She finds her current role as AHA, which operates at a more formal level, to be deeply fulfilling. She appreciates the balance of creative independence granted to her while still being under the supervision and support provided by a professional speech pathologist.

As of now, Batrisyia has not narrowed down a specific niche, but she finds the field of stuttering particularly compelling. She remains open to exploring various areas within speech pathology as she continues her studies.
She believes in the transformative power of empathy, understanding, and respect. These core values guide her interactions with clients, understanding that people are unique individuals and that her work is not just about helping people but also about doing so in a way that respects their dignity and promotes their growth and well-being in a way that is tailored to them.
In her free time, she loves to explore new cafes and searching for vintage gems at the thrift store. Additionally, she takes pleasure in practicing Pilates, as it promotes physical and mental well-being through mindful movement.
