Seeking Occupational Therapists

We are seeking a registered Allied Health Occupational Therapist who has a passion for Paediatrics and is eager to work within a highly professional multi-disciplinary team.

About the role

ECM is looking for new team members to provide evidence-based therapies with a multi-disciplinary approach towards outcomes. ECM offers Psychological, Occupational, and Speech evidenced-based interventions within the parameters of primary care service. ECM multi-disciplinary teams work closely with their clients and families in developing the most appropriate referral pathway in meeting their goals.

ECM multi-disciplinary team has developed a reputation with our referrers who are confident that we will endeavour to prioritize our client's needs and supports, effectively and efficiently, meeting goals within a timely fashion. ECM receives referrals from a variety of sources, including general private practice, specialists, NGO's, and NDIS, for people with a variety of needs. About the role

The current opportunity is for registered Allied Health Professionals: Occupational Therapists with experience however new graduates are encouraged to apply.

The ability to build positive relationships with the ECM team of clinicians and referrers is a crucial element of working within our Multi-disciplinary team.

Being diligent and highly responsive, communicating effectively and professionally is essential. 

ECM has two clinical practices on Hudson Street Hamilton, Unit 1 46 (OT and Speech) and Unit 3 56 (Psych). Both practices are friendly, comfortable, confidential, culturally safe clinical practices with disabled access and facilities for staff and clients. A great location, in walking distance to Beaumont Street, Hamilton and Hamilton train station. 

  • Familiar with motor and functional assessments

  • Ability to assess the functioning of clients in their home and with daily living

  • Ability to assess Sensory processing differences and associated concerns

  • Ability to support those clients with emotional dysregulation

  • Familiar with symptoms and behaviours associated with a range of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Anxiety

  • Familiar with a range of standardised assessments

  • Familiar with evidence-based therapies

  • professional skills in assessment and reporting.

  • ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment ensuring a quality service

ECM is managed by Power diary and Xero Accountancy recording all electronic and online billing and payment

Options are available: contract or salary (to meet your personal circumstances)

  • Working with Children's check.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, their families and referrers.
