Zander Smith
Occupational Therapist
Zander has been involved with disability and community services since the infancy of NDIS in 2016 as a Support Coordinator during his studies as an Occupational Therapist at the University of Newcastle.
Since the commencement of his studies, Zander has worked in hospital, acute, rural, community and private settings and loves the challenges and opportunities that all of these settings have provided to him in developing his skills as an Occupational Therapist.
Zander is particularly interested in hand/fine motor conditions, sensory processing and hopefully one day being able to deliver therapy dog services with his fury friend Greg the Groodle.
Zander is pro participant choice and strongly believes the therapeutic relationship clients and clinicians build with each other is the key to positive outcomes. Zander understands the importance for participants to align themselves with supports who they can have a trusting relationship with and is encouraging of participants to find their perfect fit.
Zander is outgoing and calm and is eager to work alongside the participant to find tailored solutions to assist them in reaching their goals!
