Melissa completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science at the University of New England and a Post Graduate Diploma (Advanced) in Psychology at Deakin University. Melissa is undertaking her Provisional years at ECM to become a Registered Psychologist and enjoys working with children, adolescents and families to improve and develop skills for their overall well-being. Melissa is particularly interested in Perinatal and Infant Mental health and has developed knowledge and skills in this area through the Perinatal Training Centre including Perinatal and Infant mental health and training in Perinatal Loss and Grief.

 

Melissa ​is passionate about providing an individualised, holistic approach to therapy, while upholding her clients with unconditional positive regard. She is skilled in the administration of psychometric assessments and provides evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness in the management and support or mental health concerns.

 

Melissa has completed further training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy through the Beck Institute (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy through Psychwire (ACT). She is an accredited Cool Kids/CHILLED out Facilitator for Macquarie University's evidence-based Anxiety program, a Peaceful Kids mindfulness facilitator, and a Westmead Feelings Program facilitator for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Mild Intellectual Disabilities.
